Economic Development — Mark R. Boyle policy priority

Policy

Economic Development

In brief: Mark Boyle prioritises economic development through government and private partnerships, infrastructure planning, and promoting the district nationally and internationally.

Economic Development is critical for the future of our district. Council's ability to ensure long term sustainable services for growth in business and population is important. Good planning for infrastructure delivery that matches economic development is the responsibility of Council. Supporting housing, commercial and industrial growth is positive for our future. I will work hard at building partnerships with Government and the Private Sector. I will ensure we support key economic sectors, particularly agri business and service industries that are critical for our success. I will promote our District nationally and internationally in an effort to attract investment and growth. Our economic development must complement our environmental, cultural and social wellbeing.

My decade of work in this space includes the Te Puke Economic Development Group (TPEDG), Rangiuru Business Park, and supporting Te Puke business and community growth. See about Mark, excellence in council delivery, and the Te Puke Business & Community Awards recognising local leaders.
